Public Relations Strategy

Jackson Parker was asked to assist with promotion of NAWBO Buffalo’s annual networking event. The executive team wanted to elevate the event and increased attendance. Both goals were accomplished.

Jackson Parker created and proclaimed March 9, 2016 as “Women Doing Business Day” in celebration of the organization’s annual mega-mix, mega-mingle, and mega-meet “Each One. Reach One.” networking event and as a collaborative celebration with General Motors Tonawanda Engine Plant highlighting women and minority business owners and their contributions to the economic development of the city and region. The energized day began with a press event hosted by a local female painting contractor and was followed by a tour of 3 women–owned businesses.

Result: The event received print and television coverage. In addition, the annual networking event attendance exceeded 200 people. Friends of the Buffalo Story Press Event (June 2015)Jackson Parker created concept, planned press event, implemented media outreach (developed media alert, press release and vigorous follow up to media) and coordinated logistics Press Event introducing organization Friends of the Buffalo Story vision to bring diverse cultures together by telling the rich cultural history of African Americans in words and images and the immigrant stories of the majority community in Buffalo, New York.
